Average depth = (shallow-end depth + deep-end depth) / 2. Volume = length x width x average depth. Fill time = pool liters / (fill rate x 60).
Ejemplo resuelto
An 8 m x 4 m pool with a 1 m shallow end and 2 m deep end averages 1.5 m deep, holding 48,000 L. At 15 L/min, filling takes about 53 hours.
Suposiciones a comprobar
- The pool is a simple rectangle with a uniform slope between the two given depths; steps, benches, and rounded corners are not subtracted.
- Leave the deep-end depth blank (or equal to the shallow depth) to model a flat-bottom pool.
- Fill rate depends heavily on the hose, tap pressure, and any flow restrictors - measure your actual rate for a more accurate time.
