Cómo funciona esta calculadora

Base liters = area (m2) x thickness (mm) - 1 m2 at 1 mm equals 1 L. Purchase liters = base x waste factor. Part A/B = purchase liters split by mix ratio. Kits = round up(purchase liters / kit size).

Ejemplo resuelto

A 2 m x 1 m surface at 2 mm thick needs 4 L base, 4.2 L with 5% waste, split 2.8 L part A and 1.4 L part B at a 2:1 ratio - 5 one-liter kits.

Suposiciones a comprobar

  • The surface is flat and level; pooling, edges, and vertical faces are not modeled.
  • Mix ratio and coverage vary by product - always follow the manufacturer datasheet for cure behavior and working time.
  • Waste covers minor spillage and mixing-cup residue, not multiple coats.

Preguntas frecuentes

Why does 1 mm over 1 m2 equal 1 liter?

By definition, 1 m2 x 1 mm of depth is 0.001 m3, and 0.001 m3 equals exactly 1 liter - no separate coverage constant is needed.

What mix ratio should I use?

Follow the product label exactly; common ratios are 1:1 and 2:1 by volume, but curing depends on getting the manufacturer ratio right.

Can I pour a thick layer in one go?

Many epoxy resins have a maximum single-pour depth before overheating or cracking. Check the datasheet and consider multiple thinner pours for deep pieces.
